Learn More about Carter

Background and Experience

Carter is the youngest son of Michael Cox and Abbey Cox. He came into their lives in December of 2020. He was rescued from a kill shelter in Alabama. His complete litter had contracted Parvovirus and were scheduled for euthanasia.

The great people at Florida All Retriever Rescue arranged for a private pilot to fly the litter to Tampa where they were cared for by foster parents and adopted by loving families. Carter had a very hard time recovering because during the flight his intravenous medicine ruptured a vein and caused a huge abscess on his left leg.

When Michael and Abbey met him, they immediately fell in love, and agreed to assume his care so that he could come to his forever home the next day. Carter needed surgery to treat the abscess and the great news is Carter made a full recovery and is a healthy happy boy.

Carter comes to work with Michael many days a week. While at the office he oversees client welcoming, fur distribution, and squeaky toy destruction.

away from the office

At home Carter enjoys playing in the backyard with his brother Logan, resting on the couch, fur distribution and squeaky toy destruction. . .

In March of 2021 Carter was the guest of honor at his “breed reveal party” when the whole world found out that he is 75% Labrador Retriever, 10% Doberman Pincher, 10% Chow and 5% mountain region dog.

But to us he is just a lovable guy that makes us laugh everyday with his goofy personality.
